Financial Aid Applications
The FAFSA is the main application for federal and state financial aid. Most students attending college in the U.S. should complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov to be considered for grants, loans, and work-study programs. Reminder: This is also a Class of 2026 requirement, students must complete the FAFSA or sign a waiver (copies can be found in the guidance office). 2. CSS Profile- Some private colleges and universities require the CSS Profile to determine eligibility for institutional aid (aid provided directly by the school). Each college’s financial aid website will note if this form is needed. Apply at cssprofile.collegeboard.orgcssprofile.collegeboard.org 3. HESAA (New Jersey State Aid Application)
After submitting the FAFSA, New Jersey residents should visit hesaa.org to complete follow-up questions for state-based grants and scholarships, such as the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG), at hesaa.org. *Students who are not eligible to complete the FAFSA may still be eligible for state financial aid through the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application. This includes the NJ Dreamers. Visit https://www.hesaa.org/Pages/NJAlternativeApplication.aspx (Free webinars available in English and Spanish, found on the website).
