COLLEGE BOOTCAMP
This summer's College Bootcamp is scheduled for August 5, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Be prepared for your senior year, and get a jumpstart on your college applications! The event will include a guest presenter and will cover topics such as:
- Where to start
- What do colleges look for?
- Finding the right fit/evaluating colleges
- The role of testing in college admissions today:
- Test Optional vs Submitting Scores
- The college essay
- Activities and extracurricular involvement - Do I need a resume?
- Application Timeline and Procedures
- Naviance – Brag Sheet, Teacher Recommendations
- College Visits and Scholarships
- Common App – Adding colleges, FERPA, and completing the Education section

First Session: 7/28/25 - 7/31/25 (Monday through Thursday)
Final Session/Make-ups: 9/30/25 - 10/2/25 (Monday through Thursday)
*Seniors who missed the summer and fall sessions but would like to be included in the yearbook can contact their local JCPenney studio to arrange for a photo session and email their photo to scruz@ltps.org by February 18, 2026. Photos received after that date will miss the yearbook printing deadline.

Early Release / Late Arrival Application
CAP & GOWN MEASUREMENTS
Herff Jones will be at LHS on January 27 and 28, 2026 to take measurements and orders for senior caps and gowns. A make-up date was also added on Tuesday, February 3.
Seniors who are unable to visit the Herff Jones representatives on these dates can order by phone directly by calling 215-245-8660. Please have your height and a credit card number available.
*The cost for the basic package (cap, gown, and tassel) is $35.
